5th/6th Grade Boys In-House BasketballBasketballOur 5th/6th grade boys in-house basketball league is focused on building fundamental skills, teamwork, and a love for the game in a fun environment. Players of all experience levels have the opportunity to learn, compete, and grow while emphasizing learning and effort. The league provides a positive space for young athletes to develop confidence, make friends, and enjoy the game of basketball! Registration deadline is October 5th at 8:00 AM. No refunds will be issued for registration removal after October 12th at 8:00am. In order to keep teams as even as possible, we will not be taking any buddy requests outside of immediate siblings. All practices and games will take place at the same location and at the same time so ride shares are still an option, even if the athletes are on different teams. Coaches Volunteer coaches are needed, please sign up when registering. No prior basketball experience is necessary! Coaching resources will be provided and all coaches will be given an STMA Basketball shirt. Coaches will be required to pass a district background check prior to volunteering if they do not already have one approved by the district. Coaches Meeting Date: Tuesday, October 12th, 5:30 PM @ Community Education (Room TBD). Schedule Practices will be held Mondays and Thursdays from 6:15 - 7:15 PM at the STMA Activity Center. Games will be held Saturday mornings from 9:00 - 10:30 AM at the STMA Activity Center. Our final game day, Saturday December 12th, will be a tournament held at Middle School East. Tentative Schedule (this is subject to change as we get closer to the season). Uniform All players are required to have a blue/white STMA basketball jersey. The jerseys are the same as previous years, feel free to reuse them if they still fit. Shorts are not required but are available for purchase when registering. Jerseys and/or shorts purchased when registering will be passed out during the first practice. When registering you will select jersey and short size for your athlete. This is the size they will receive at the first practice. If it does not fit, you can exchange them at the Community Education office during office hours.Fall 2026 -
