Students in grades 8-12 during the 2025-2026 school year who are interested in competitive high school fishing tournaments. About the Team: The STMA Fishing Team combines classroom education with hands-on fishing techniques. Coached by experienced tournament anglers and industry professionals, students will learn best practices and skills for competitive fishing. Anglers will gain in-depth knowledge of bass fishing and participate in competitive tournaments. Team members must commit to both classroom sessions and tournament participation. STMA Progressive TriathlonActivity CenterSTMA PROGRESSIVE TRIATHLON Test yourself both mentally and physically with this month long fitness challenge! In the month of February, participants will have 28 days to complete an IronMan Triathlon. Bike 112 miles, run 26.2 miles and row 2.4 miles on the rowing machines at the Activity Center in the month of February to complete this challenge! Stop by the Activity Center front desk to pick up your calendar, to log all of your miles for the month. Register online, or at the Activity Center front desk by February 1st. Spring Flag FootballFootballSpring Flag Football 2026 Girls: 7th & 8th Grade Boys: 4th & 5th Grade Join the fun this spring with the STMA Community Education Flag Football League! Designed for boys in 4th & 5th grade and girls in 7th & 8th grade, this non-contact league focuses on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a fun and supportive environment. Games and practices are held locally, making it easy for families to get involved. Whether your child is new to the game or looking to sharpen their skills, this league is a great way to stay active and enjoy the game of football! This league will run for eight weeks, from April through May. Practices will be on Mondays and Thursdays from 5:30 - 6:30 PM with games on Saturday mornings. Both games and practices will be held at Middle School East. All necessary equipment (other that cleats) will be issued by Community Education and is covered by your registration fee. Jerseys and flags are yours to keep when the season concludes. A more descriptive schedule with rosters and field assignments will be released closer to the season date. Volunteer coaches needed! If interested, please sign up when registering your child. We will provide our coaches with all necessary information to run a team. This includes a playbook, rulebook, example practice plan, etc. Our leagues cannot run without volunteer coaches, we appreciate your support! Stillwater River Cruise & Browsing TripTrips & Tours10:00 a.m. St Michael Elementary - 101 Central Ave W, St Michael 55376 - Pick up will be in the front parking lot of St. Michael Elementary School. (If low registration in St. Michael/Albertville, the pick up will be at 9:45am in Monticello Eastview Education Center parking lot, 9375 Fenning Avenue North) 11:00 a.m. Arrive in Stillwater, the birthplace of Minnesota. It's a former lumbering center located on the St. Croix River. This distinctive community has a wealth of 19th century Greek Revival, Queen Anne and Italianate architecture.It offers an excellent blend of history, scenery, shopping and culture. Unload at the docks of the St. Croix Boat & Packet Company to board the scheduled cruise. Note: The boat staff is available to help guests who need assistance. Group Leader will need to advise the boat staff if someone needs help. They do have wheelchairs in the office to transport passengers. [Depending on water levels, there could be considerable walking from the bus parking area to the boat landing. Gangplanks could be steep, but there are railings.] 11:30 a.m. Depart for a cruise on the St. Croix River aboard one of the modern vessels from the St. Croix Boat & Packet Company fleet.It is climate controlled and fully accessible. Table seating is available on the first floor. Relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of the St. Croix River. [This cruise is not narrated. Guests can bring cards, bingo or other games to play while cruising.] 11:45 a.m. A deli luncheon is served buffet style as you cruise the St. Croix River.Menu: The Deli Luncheon has a variety of meats and cheeses, salads, and dessert bars. Coffee and water are included in the price. One drink ticket will be given out for a soft drink. Alcohol beverages are available for purchase. 1:30 p.m. The boat will return to the Stillwater Docks.Transfer passengers to Pedestrian Plaza in downtown Stillwater to shop.
