F.A.S.T. Kids – Staying Safe While Home AloneHealth and Life SkillsFirst Aid and Safety Trained Kids is a 4-hour course for 7 – 10 year olds. This course helps prepare children for staying safe at and away from home. Lessons cover basic first aid, water safety, vehicle safety, home emergencies, injury prevention, stranger and internet safety. Family History Research with Paula Stuart-WarrenHealth and Lifelong LearningDo you have unanswered questions and always wanted to know more about your family history, but don’t know where or how to begin? Paula Stuart-Warren, Certified Genealogist, will show us easy steps to get started (or restarted). It’s more than just a list of names or dates—it’s about discovering stories, traditions, and roots that have shaped your life and your family’s journey. You will be able to share your knowledge with current and future generations. You will receive a handout with tips, and information on books and websites. We invite you to come with your own questions. Paula loves her profession and loves to get others excited about their family history. She works full time in genealogical and historical research, lecturing, consulting, and writing. She has been a Board-certified genealogist since 1988, passing the every-five-year renewal assessments by the national Board for Certification of Genealogists. She is a firm believer in continuing education in genealogy and strives to keep up to date by participating in national and local conferences, webinars, reading the publications of many genealogical and historical organizations and individuals both off and online. She teaches about family history year-round and teaches in-depth for online week-long genealogy institutes. Football (Fall)FootballCommunity Education and STMA Football are co-sponsoring two different fall tackle football programs. The goal of both programs is to provide a positive experience for students as they develop football skills, knowledge & sportsmanship. Parents and Players will have a choice between ‘Community Ed’ and ‘Travel’ Football. For more information on the differences between In-House and Travel Football, please visit www.stmafootball.com When registering for fall football, register based off of the grade your student will be in for the 2026/2027 school year. In order to keep teams as balanced as possible, there will be NO buddy/team/coach/ride requests for 4th-6th grade outside of siblings and coach's kids. All practices and games will take place at the same time and the same location so players can ride together even if they play on different teams. Teams are created based on multiple metrics but primarily age, height, and weight, with other factors being taken into consideration a well. Registration closes July 26th at 11:59pm. For more information on Tacklebar go to tacklebar.com. 217F3 - 4th Grade Students who are incoming 5th and 6th graders will play tackle football. 217F4 - 5th Grade 217F5 - 6th Grade Coaches Volunteer adult coaches are needed! Please sign up when you register your child. All volunteer coaches must be able to pass a district background check if you do not already have one. 4th-6th grade coaches will also have to complete online concussion training before the beginning of the season. Coaches will receive STMA football gear and have the opportunity to attend coaching clinics put on by the STMA Varsity Football staff. Playbooks and coaching resources will be provided. Coaches Meeting Date: Tuesday, Aug 4th, 6:45 PM @ STMA High School (Room TBD) Equipment 2nd/3rd graders will receive a NFL Flag jersey to keep. 4th-6th graders receive a jersey, shoulder pads, helmet, pants, & mouth guard. 4th graders must return their jersey. 5th & 6th graders get to keep their jersey. All pads must be turned in by the equipment turn in date at the end of the season. Failure to do so will lead to a charge and a registration hold on your account until that charge is paid. Gentle Flow YogaAdult Fitness and RecreationGentle Flow Yoga offers relaxing, full-body movement and breathwork to reduce stress, improve flexibility and strength, and calm the mind. Includes standing, seated, floor, balance, and restorative poses. Gentle Flow Yoga provides “me” time by allowing us to breathe and focus on ourselves in the present moment. Flowing through a series of yoga poses and stretches facilitates stress reduction, improves strength and flexibility, while also nourishing the body and mind. Poses will be performed standing, on hands and knees, and while seated and laying on the floor. Balance and restorative yoga poses will be incorporated, and class will conclude with a relaxation segment focusing on breathwork to reduce stress. Girls High School Tennis CampTennisHigh School Girls Tennis Camp Join us for a comprehensive tennis camp designed for high school girls of all skill levels.
